Receive Your DOT Physical at Grand Ave Urgent Care in Laramie, WY
Grand Ave Urgent Care provides a variety of wellness services on a walk-in basis at our center in Laramie, Wyoming. One such service is our DOT physicals, which are performed by experienced medical practitioners who are certified to evaluate Department of Transportation employees. If you are due for a DOT physical, we encourage you to stop by today. We do not require appointments and are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
What does a DOT physical involve?
DOT physicals are performed to help ensure employees are well enough to safely operate a motor vehicle. These physicals follow strict guidelines set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and include a thorough assessment of:
- Cardiovascular health
- Hearing and vision abilities
- Blood pressure and pulse
- Lung function
- Neurological health
- Muscle strength and reflexes
- Other key aspects of health
A urine sample may also be collected to test for illegal substances and signs of possible health concerns.
